Plinths for the People

Plinths, the heavy platforms that hold statues and monuments, are, by their very definition, not made for all. Instead of holding only a few privileged figures and particular histories, Plinths for the People are large-scale stages activated by community members to ensure that all stories, voices and visions are acknowledged. This collaborative work takes the form of a historical plinth and turns it on its head by giving undertold histories real space on the cityscape.
