JoVonna Jackson is a mosaic artist, ceramic muralist, and knitter from Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood and a member of the Englewood Artists Collective. Her works include a variety of indoor and outdoor mosaics, ceramic sculptures, and jewelry. Self-love and peace are important themes she uses to create her compositions, which combine realism and abstract forms to express the nature of love and relationships. Her public works are found in Millennium Park and at the Hamilton Park Cultural Center, both in Chicago. JoVonna recently completed a residency at the Hamilton Park Cultural Center hosting workshops for South Side community members. JoVonna is a 2021 Artist in Residence at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Homan Square campus.
